Coming up with an idea what to do for
collide wasn’t easy. The one thing I knew for certain is that I wanted to do something
in 2d.
After a bunch of 2d tests while waiting to find my idea I spoke to Jay, Nick and Jonathan about my work and wanted to get their opinion on it.
All of them agreed that I should make a short animation relating to the tests I’ve been doing.
My head started to turn and I generally figured out what I wanted to do.
I wanted to do a small take on a B listed old horror movie. And to some extent my collide projects fill all the areas that the brief required. In detail:
Happiness.
A lot of this brief was centered about this. Because I can’t tell what makes me happiest with this project.
1. I love animating and I love learning about animation during the process of animating (what a sentence, aye?). And this whole experience not only was fun beyond belief, but also I learned a whole bunch. (Not to mention I ended up storyboarding the same scenes and acting them out in the process as well). Either way the animation portion adds to the happy bit, but not only.
2. The second reason is more sentimental. I not just love old horror movies, but I crave them. Not only because I have a lot of fun memories attached to watching them with friends or life blogging them to said friends. But the general experience of watching a old horror film means so much to me. There is too much I love about them to put in this (supposedly) short blog post. So ill carry on.

Future me/Technology
Okay so. I put these two in the same check mark mainly to keep this post from escalating out of proportion. (Plus their kind of similar to be honest)
1. This piece to some extent represents the best I can do animation wise at the moment, it’s like a time capsule, cus there’s only one way to go from here and its up. What will I be able to do next year? What about ten years? Who knows? I don’t. But I’m sure going to have a good time finding out.
2. The time capsule applies the same to technology aspect, but off course from the programs, devices or etc. that I will be using. Who knows what ill be into several years from now.
