In our first lesson Nick told us to pick a word that would
define us, and make a font out of it. I did a similar choice as last year and
decided to go and make illustrations for fonts. Below are my initial sketches for
my word/phrase: I Am Terrified.
Upd8: Wanting to move on from just rough sketches I decided to
move up my phrase into a digital environment and ”smoothen” its edges. Even
though, some of it still could use (and will get) some improvements. (Specially
the “D” and possibly “I”’s) I’m still rather satisfied about this turn out.
Upd8 (yet again): In this lecture Nick told us to enlarge our fonts and Tracy
gave me a very good idea. I decided that how ill finish this piece is by
enlarging the letters, cutting the out and play with lighting to cast shadows
which will form the letters. So far these are the main letters I enlarged,
since I’m still working on improving the remaining letters.
Experemintation and results will be posted soon, hopefully.
