One of the things I love doing after seeing a movie that I enjoyed
is either googling the behind the scenes photography or waiting till it is
released on the internet. I have no idea why but I find it really aesthetically
pleasing seeing the people work on the film, enjoy themselves, actors in periodically
accurate clothing or in full costume interacting in ways that are completely
out of character or listening to their iPod’s, on their computers, other
technological devices that really stick out next to their costumes. Not to
mention it’s a great way to have your work documented and presented to the
public.
A lot of people say that finding out how something was made (usually implying the use of practical effects or something similar) takes away the magic from the movie which they saw. I humbly disagree, off course this is just my opinion, but finding out how something was made or seeing the behind the scenes footage, doesn’t take away the magic from the film itself, but adds to it, it shows all the creativity and interactions not to mention the efforts that were never seen on screen and adds to the film a whole new layer of appreciation. Bellow I posted some of my favorite behind the scenes pictures as examples. I tried making them as diverse as possible:
